What is the free trial?
The 14-day free trial gives you the opportunity to view Collection homes and start messaging with members of the Collection community to organize future exchanges.
Who is eligible for the free trial?
Currently, the free trial is available only to HomeExchange members who do not currently have an active paid HomeExchange membership. Additionally, your home must meet the eligibility criteria for joining HomeExchange Collection.
What are the details of the free trial?
You can start your free trial directly from the "My Membership" page on the website:
The trial lasts for 14 days and can be canceled at any time during this period through the website.
How to cancel the free trial?
If you would like to cancel your free trial and return to your previous status before the trial, follow these steps:
- Go to your account.
- Click on "Membership".
- At the bottom left of the page, click "Cancel free trial".
You will not be charged for an annual subscription, and your previous status will resume immediately.
How to activate the annual membership during the free trial?
You can also manually activate your annual membership now to fully enjoy all the benefits. Here’s how:
- Go to your account.
- Click on "Membership".
- Click "Activate your annual membership" on the same page.
Note: If you finalize an exchange during your trial period, your annual subscription will be automatically activated. Your payment information will be charged $1,000 at this point.
Additional information around trial period charges:
- If an exchange is pre-approved or finalized during the trial period, you will need to pay the full membership fee to confirm the exchange.
- If you do not cancel your free trial before the end of the 14 days, your annual membership will be activated automatically, and your payment information will be charged $1,000.
- This 14-day trial period also serves as the guarantee period. Once the trial ends, no refund requests will be accepted, as per our 14-day guarantee policy.
Extensions:
The trial period is fixed and cannot be extended beyond 14 days. A reminder email will be sent 2 days before the end of your free trial.
What services are available during the trial period?
During the trial period, you will have access to the following benefits:
- Ability to view all HomeExchange Collection homes.
- Appearance as a HomeExchange Collection member on the website.
- Ability to contact both HomeExchange Collection and HomeExchange Classic members to propose exchanges.
- Access to Member Support for general inquiries.
- Increased nightly GuestPoint value.
- Luxury home filter.
- Option to block requests from non-Collection members.
Important: If you cancel the trial, you will lose all these benefits immediately.
